Thea Dorn

Thea Dorn, born in 1970, studied philosophy and theatre studies in Frankfurt, Vienna, and at the Free University of Berlin, where until recently she was a lecturer in philosophy. At the age of 24 she published her first novel, Berlin Enlightenment, for which she received the Raymond Chandler Award. Her following novels were sensational successes as well, including The Brain Queen, for which she was awarded the German Crime Novel Prize, and the much praised novel The Brood. Thea Dorn also writes screenplays and moderates literary events live and on TV.
