Beate Maxian - Murder in the Hotel Sacher

Murder in the Hotel Sacher – a nightmare for the genteel Viennese society

A glittering spring feast is being celebrated in Hotel Sacher, and journalist Sarah Pauli, reporting for the Wiener Bote, is mixing with the illustrious guests. The party is in full swing when a scream suddenly rings out – and in the washrooms the body of a young woman is found. It turns out that the victim used to be the pastry chef at a patisserie not far from the Sacher. The tabloid press quickly make out who did it: confectioner Max Brücker, the dead woman's boss and ex-boyfriend. Sarah is sceptical and before long stumbles across some mysterious cake decorations and all sorts of dark secrets …

"Gripping, enigmatic and packed with Viennese charm." Bernhard Aichner
