Christian v. Ditfurth - A Murderer Comes Back Home

Left-wing terror, the East German regime – and the long shadow of the Third Reich

Matti, Sleeping Beauty and Twiggi are facing a particularly difficult case. An RAF terrorist still on the "Wanted" list suddenly turns up in Berlin; while meeting his daughter in Görlitz Park he is shot – but then the body disappears without trace. And so does his daughter, Anja, who has fallen in love with Matti. The police, however, now suspect Matti of having killed them both. While tracking down the RAF (Red Army Faction), Sleeping Beauty stumbles across a fertile source of information, to wit Stasi documents. And low and behold, the old officers from State Security are more active than anyone had thought.

Christian v. Ditfurth has, with tongue in cheek, presented us with bodies that disappear and shows unknown links between the left wing, the RAF and 20th century German dictatorships.

"Christian v. Ditfurth has shown us that German authors are as good as their international colleagues."
