Random House Germany is part of the world's largest trade-book publishing group, which is owned by the media corporation Bertelsmann AG. The Random House Group operates branches in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, the UK and the US.

Random House Germany employs 832 people and is located in Munich, Gütersloh, Frankfurt and Cologne. The 45 imprints publish 2.500 books (hardcover, paperback, e-book, audio) in Germany per year. The vision of Random House Germany is to publish the best in fiction, non-fiction, and children's books and to bring their books to as many readers as possible.

The 45 publishing houses of Random House Germany present a varied number of themes, from modern, classical and children's literature through a huge non-fiction programme.
