Hugo M. Enomiya-Lassalle (Author)

Hugo M. Enomiya-Lassalle, born in 1898, was a Jesuit priest and Zen master. He went to Japan in 1929 and administrated the Jesuit building of the catholic Sophia University and championed social issues. Lassalle lived in Hiroshima and survived the nuclear bomb thrown onto the city. He became a Japanese citizen under the name Makibi Enomiya.
