Anu Stohner - Aklak, the Little Eskimo

How an Eskimo boy shows a lot of courage

Aklak, the little Eskimo, is just like any other little boy; he goes to school every morning and lives in a house. The only thing is, his house is an igloo. And he also has very special friends, particularly Tuktuk, his well-behaved husky. What the friends like doing best is to ride on an ice floe pushed along by a whale, which of course is strictly forbidden.

But one day, the friends are caught at it red-handed – by the three big Eskimo boys from grade three, of all people. They have had it in for the little Eskimo for a while and now they challenge Aklak to a sled race …

•A heart-warming story of friendship, with beautiful colour illustrations

•Wonderful language, witty dialogues, magnificent characters
