Patricia Schröder was born in northern Germany in 1960 and grew up in Düsseldorf. She studied textile design and worked as a designer for several years. When her children were born she returned to the north, where she moved to a small ancient dwelling mound with her family and a handful of animals, and started thinking up stories. She is particularly committed to the promotion of children’s literacy, and to this end developed the ‘Let’s Read Together’ series, aimed at helping children to discover how much fun it can be to read books and stories by themselves.
