Notker Wolf

Notker Wolf, born in 1940, joined the Ottilien Congregation of the Order of St. Benedict in 1961. He studied philosophy, theology, zoology, inorganic chemistry and the history of astronomy in Rome and Munich and has a PhD in philosophy. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1968. After six years as a professor for natural philosophy and the philosophy of science at the Pontifical Atheneum of St. Anselm in Rome, Abbot Primate Notker Wolf was appointed Archabbot of St. Ottilien and hence the Abbot President of the Missionary Benedictines. From 2000 to 2016 he was Abbot Primate, the highest representative of the Benedictines. He is the world-wide speaker of the oldest Christian order. Abbot Primate Notker Wolf lives in Rome and is a bestselling author.
