Manuel Larbig, born in 1987, is a biologist, outdoor expert and crazy about wild herbs. His inclination for experiencing nature first-hand equipped with no more than the bare necessities gave him the idea of hiking all the way through Germany. The Spiegel accompanied him for a while for a documen-tary. Manuel Larbig holds wild herb workshops and survival courses in and around Berlin.
