Dietmar Dath

Dietmar Dath was born in 1970 and studied physics and literature. After university, he worked as a translator and the chief editor of Spex magazine before becoming the editor of cultural affairs for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. He has been given many awards for his novels, including the Kurd Laßwitz Prize, and his novel The Abolition of the Species was short-listed for the German Book Prize.
