Claudia Winter, born in 1973, trained as a social education worker and has been writing poems and stories ever since she was a child. As the daughter of hearing-impaired parents, she was taught by her father to read and write when she was only four. In addition to Apricot Kisses and Lucky Stars she has also published other novels and various short stories in anthologies.
