Beate Maxian has been involved in various film, media and event projects and has published several crime stories set in Austria. Next to being an author, she works as a journalist and presenter, as well as an instructor at a talent academy. She was a member of the jury of the 2008 Friedrich Glauser Prize and organises the Austrian crime festival.
