The murderous gangland of an unscrupulous drug industry
Mats Holm in Berlin is a brilliant crisis PR man. He and his partner Laura May have boxed government ministers out of the crossfire of the media, rescued corporations from the pillory of the stock prices and at times of serious hate campaigns pulled celebrities away from the line of fire. For perfect PR, Holm needs but one ingredient: the truth. But this is precisely what customers never want to tell him – and they have good reasons.
The agency has now had an appeal for help from one of the giants in the pharmaceutical industry. Several children have become seriously ill after taking medication produced by the company, and a little girl has died. A critic of the industry has accused the company of carrying out dubious clinical trials in India. The situation comes to a head when their informer is found dead and a member of the company's staff disappears without trace. Holm gets caught up in an intrigue of epic proportions.
