Nadja Quint - Half the Rent

Welcome to Rügen, where the tourists disappear without trace

Ex-policewoman Lilo Gondorf lets out holiday bungalows on the island of Rügen, and very successfully too. After all, for years she has been able to keep the five star fish – the best assessment – awarded by the tourist administration. But then one of Lilo's guests, retired solicitor Werner Koch, is abducted while walking round the bodden. The only witness is his blind wife. Lilo finds the whole business a little difficult to chew – and it also awakes in her a longing for her old job. And since the police, including Lilo's daughter Verena from the Stralsund detective squad, are getting nowhere, Lilo has to investigate herself. Together with her neighbour, Oskar, she gets onto the tracks of the missing solicitor – and stumbles across a major crime.

For all readers of Jean-Luc Bannalec, Martin Walker and Sandra Lüpkes.
