Jörg Dräger, Ralph Müller-Eiselt - The Digital Education Revolution

How good education can be made possible for everyone in the future

More and more people all over the world are demanding access to a good education. But reality can't deliver: in overcrowded classrooms and auditoriums, outmoded methods of learning are having little success and lead to boredom or an inability to cope, and costs are exploding. The best education is given to those who can afford it. Once the world of work has been reached, further training is out of the question for many.

As the two education experts Jörg Dräger and Ralph Müller-Eiselt know, the future of education is called Digitalisation. In this their latest book they demonstrate how the networked world is radically changing our ways of learning and working. They show how old elites are being shaken up and individualised learning processes made possible, how those who have been left behind in the past will have access to a good education. Using vivid examples, they point to changes already taking place on a global scale. And they warn that if we are not active in shaping the revolution in education, not only will Germany be left behind but that education is in danger of being completely commercialised and learners becoming transparent. A wakeup call to make our society to sit up and do something.
